So I'm planning on coming back in game when season 4 hits holodeck. I got a gift card for Best Buy and their website still has copies of the Collector's edition, with the Red Matter Capacitor. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to get the Red Matter Capacitor or buy the Oberth in the C-Store to get the Enhanced Plasma Manifold.
I don't fly science ships and don't want to. I fly mostly escorts. I started out Tactical in an Escort, then Engineer in an escort, but dabbled with a tier 2 cruiser.
So what do you guys think? For an Engineer in an escort Red Matter Capacitor, Enhanced Plasma Manifold, or neither?

20 seconds for + 20 to Shields/aux/ 3 min cooldown(or is it 2?), repairing shields if disabled

or

5 min cooldown for +25 (I might be wrong...) to all systems for 10 seconds. (someone on the board said it only repairs one of the disabled subsystems...dunno if that is true.)

Tough call. The Enhanced Plasma Manifold (EPM) is a console, whereas the Red Matter Capacitor (RMC) is a device..

I have the EPM. I kinda like it, as it gives me some flexibility. But the RMC is nice as it hits all systems and doesnt take up a slot. Hard to tell.

Can they stack? What do all of these share a cooldown with? Does the RMC and EPM share a cooldown with each other?

The RMC's effect lasts 3 seconds.

Like batteries, I find it barely worth using.

The tooltip says 10. Are you saying it's incorrect?

I would assume you could stack them since one is a console and the other isn't. Good question. Hadn't thought about cooldowns or if they share. Those are very good questions.

Wait, only 3 seconds? That doesn't sound like alot, as if it's just long enough for a hail mary like evasive action.

# 7 Rmc Info

This is exactly what the RMC does copied word for word from when item is right clicked and info button is selected.

Red Matter Capacitor
Rare Ship Device

Bound
Unique - Max of one per Character

The Red Matter Capacitor is a reusable power
source that increases the power levels of all ship
systems.

Red Matter Capacitor
Red Matter Capacitor provides a short duration
increase to all power levels. Repairs
disabled auxiliary subsystems.
Targets Self
5 min recharge
Repairs disabled Auxiliary systems
+25 All Power Settings for 10 sec

I use it all the time same with batteries combined with EPS Power Transfer and power preset at equal to all systems it can provide a major power boost. I am hoping that copying info right from game is allowed on forums.

I would love the EMH sci console. But it seems no retailer is selling the bundle with it :-(((

That's because it only comes with the Oberth class ship on the C-Store

It's the RMC that is a pre-order bonus.
