Yeah they just threw us a bone so we would quit barking while they make some more fed uniforms.

I was also surprised at what they turned out to be. I really don't know what I was expecting. I would prefer ceremonial robes, but the 'capes' aren't a terrible vet reward. I am a huge fan of the vet shoulder plates. I think somebody referred to them as being made of tribble fur. Epic.

I rather like it/them. It's not exactly what I envisioned for a Klingon cape, but it does look pretty cool. I'm hoping the option to use them with the furless veteran shoulder pads stays when S4 hits the holodeck though.

But they can leave the bugged out "too much starch" physics on Tribble kthx

Yes, it was intended to allow the capes with both the fur and the fur-less shoulder pads, so it stays.

We do listen to player requests, and we put a lot of effort into keeping up with what our players want. It turned out that we received far more requests for "shoulder capes" specifically, than for the generic term "cape". Thus, the shoulder cape was the one to be released now.

We are always working on new costume parts though, (working on some Klingon stuff now actually!), so full capes are still a possibility for the future.

while your working on klingon costumes, any chance for a greatcoat worn by the swordsmasters?

While not what I was hoping for (or really expecting), the cape design does kind of grow on you. With the right color combinations (and the furry shoulder pads), it just look plain badass on my Klingon.
