# 1 So my iPhone died
07-09-2011, 09:33 PM
It picked an awesome time to die, too. Right after I reformatted my computer for the upgrade I recently did, but before I could make a new backup. It will no longer sync to any computer, and will only charge on its wall unit by sheer dumb luck.

I'm replacing it with the Motorola Atrix, its an Android. My question is, when I e-mailed my contact list to myself off the iPhone it sent them out as vcf files (vCard format). Will Android import those straight from my computer normally, will I need an app for it, or am I stuck reentering my contact list by hand?

I've never had an Android before, so not exactly sure of what all the bells and whistles are yet.

I am running a HTC Legend with Android, and it has no issues importing vCards... you should be in the safe zone.

Thoug there are diffrences between the two phone, there could also be diffrences between software support, but I do not see why it would be like this.

How could he... Apple's track record with game is less than minimal.

The first thing you did wrong was, buy an iPhone. The second thing you did wrong was not smashing it the second you bought an iPhone.

I replaced my iPhone about a month ago. I went webOS instead of Android (as per my general ban on all things Google; whenever possible).

I prefer cheap plans like tracfone. Because I'm cheap.

Oh trust me, as many problems as I've had with this iPhone from day one and now this, the moment I get my new phone I will be going Office Space on the iPhone.

When my iPhone died, I smashed it with a sledgehammer a good 10-12 times, then sent the now paper thin iPhone back to Apple with a simple note attached: "Next time, make them in the USA".
