Atari 2600 with the Air-Sea Battle caridge. Saved my mom many a rainy afternoon...
After that, I never really got back into consoles again, I prefer PC games.

Star Control 2 on the Mega Drive followed by Super Mario Cart on the SNES.

I lost the formative years of my life to those games...

Herzog Zwei for the Sega Genesis. My friend and I discovered it at a gaming convention. We played for an hour and a half before the guy running the booth kicked us off it. A few months later I bought a Genesis just for that game.

Atari 2600 - The Adventures of Superman cartridge (You got to fly in 6 zones + the subway using Superman top find and defeat lex Luthor and his minions; and rebuild teh bridge he blew up at the start )

while i grew up with the Gamecube and the original Playstation (yes, i'm young, but they are fond memories ), my favorites now are the Wii and the Playstation 3

Playstation. It had (in my opinion) the greatest game ever. Star Ocean the Second Story.
Currently the PSP because it has Star Ocean Second Evloution, the remake of Star Ocean the Second Story.
