It's a cool design and I'd be fascinated to see what they could come up with as far as incorporating temporal powers into the game. Be an interesting challenge, anyway.
I love that ship, It'd love to see that ether as a small cruiser, or a science. Also, Haglahay, that's not a problem, cause I read the Memory Alpha page for that ship, and there's not info on when that class was first built, so all we could know all we could know, is this ship could of been build around the time STO takes place. I mean come on, there's ships in STO that have been around since the early years of Starfleet, so why can't the Wells class be built in the time of STO, and still be built and used 500 years later.
true, people are too damn picky when it comes to them and Star Trek, if it's not how it is in the movies or the TV show it shouldn't be. And don't even get me started about TV/Movies vs books, cause I hate how the books and some games aren't really matching up with TV and movies's story lines.
Which is why my main choice of game for Story line is Halo.
So let me see if I understand the problem correctly. You could not include the *ship that can travel through time*...because it's from too far in the future.
I think any ship can "travel through time" But Like I've pointed out in the first post, "why can't the Wells class be built in the time of STO, and still be built and used 500 years later", I mean come on, I can see star fleet building this ship, then 500 years later build a new version of it but with a way to move through time.
It's really not that difficult - timeship goes back to the period the game is set in, gets crippled. Starfleet salvages it and is able to use the basic design but a lot of the time travel technology is lost. So you give the ship a cool power or two to relflect its timeship origins somehow - something like an inherent photonic fleet, or something along those lines.
