# 1 Microtransactions
07-15-2011, 09:13 PM
In our community, there is a lot of concern with the c-store, items and pricing for the c-store. This week, Extra Credits has devoted an episode to the subject of micro-transactions.

Anyone with c-store concerns, and the marketing team should watch this video, I feel it gives a fair analysis of micro-transactions, and gives attention to what is both good and bad about them. this is a short video and takes less than 10 mins to watch.

As a whole, it seems like STO has followed this advice well. There are no I Win buttons in C-store and the prices are justified.

It'sd not Atari's fault, euro's have to pay extra because of your own governments online transaction tax.

Now before one disses the online trasnaction tax that europeans must pay for every purchase online, you must first understand one or two reasons why (there are many)

Online transactions are killing small business' and retailers hence was creating a noticable hole groing in economy where their people were buying from other countries rather than pay 10 bucks more for the same product from the store next door.

So to maintain a flow of money internally to stimulate economy further, the tax was placed on online transactions to europeans.

I am not european, but I do agree with this method. It makes sense, either buy locally, or be taxed.

I believe all countries need a tax on online transactions.
