Does anyone know if there are any plans in the works, to introduce a Carrier for the Federation? It would be very cool to have the U.S.S Typhon from the Star Trek: Invasion game as well as the various fighters. Just a thought to throw out there

we already have them, just throw scorpion fighters on your ship and redo the mission whenever you run out.

I've yet to see a good looking federation carrier, everything from the saucer section that got rear ended by an Imperial Star Destroyer in ship schematic books to the shoebox from ST:Invasion, they just don't look right.

Well you can technically have this in game atm.

There are scorpion fighters you can use to this effect, obtainable from the Vault Featured episode series Cloaked Intentions.

If they would just introduce a Peregrine or ST Invasion fighter variant then it could go a long way to settling this issue.

you already have sci ships with your photonic fleet. It works better than carriers

Yes, carriers for the Federation are coming soon. The best Fed engineers have lost the carrier schematics somewhere but do not worry, they will get them back soon enough.

Just wait a little more...

To answer as fully and as honestly as we know: No, there are no plans for Federation Carriers at this time, nor are there any indications that it is a possibility the Devs are considering.

Ship classes from games developed by other game developers are a non-starter, it will not and cannot happen for legal reasons. Those ships are the intellectual property of those game developers, not of CBS, Paramount, or Cryptic, Atari, or Perfect World, to use them would be theft.

So, because of that, they will never be in STO.
