Cool beans BigRed, though I was a little off on the Acc always adding the CrtH and CrtD, the principle behind it I had correct (admittedly thanks to your AccvDef thread). I believe with the current healing metagame, escorts should strive for the biggest spike damage possible, which means having an immobile target + CrtDs. But I can understand a team going for a more defensive war of attrition setup as well with Acc and CrtH. Overall it seems like all the modifiers are actually pretty well balanced depending on how you play.
Yeah, I prefer CrtH and CrtD on my torps, as a tac. I'm spamming hy1 and 2 every fifteen seconds though, and have access to tractorbeam.
Ideally I'd want an Acc, CrtH, CrtD mk XI (i've also found the mk of the torp makes a pretty big difference in damage)
My klink's all about the Crt D AP DHCs. (usually with warp plas to slow the target)
How are you all getting your DHCs to crit so high? I have all MK Xi gear and I hit like a wet noodle, even with my attack patterns activated. Are people really stacking resistances in pvp or am I missing something?

Resistance stacking is the way to go.
I got killed by a 28K Crit earlier today... from Beam Overload 1 :p
Is that even possible? My highest crit with BO III was like 27K on an elite difficulty frigate
Most certainly
Look around through a few people's sigs here, you'll see some high BO hits. In fact, one of my fleetmates managed a 100K+ BO 3 Crit (the target basically had every debuff known to man stacked on him).
Haha ok, but how do I get it so that I can hit hard in PVP? I can barely penetrate shields at times. Should I stack accuracy or what?
I think as most of the numbers have show... it doesn't much matter. lol
ACC is a great stat
CritH is a great stat
CritD is a great stat
DMG... mehhh
Bottom line it doesn't much matter... if your a sci max out your sensor scan... if your a tac get yourself some beta... Load Tractors / War Plasmas / GWs / Target Engines / Tykens / Shockwaves and Stop people...
Debuff Debuff Debuff STOP to kill the defense rating... and kill them with whites if thats what you feel like. lol
OK. When looking at the stats. Let's say I have a AP Phaser array that is 60% crit dmg bonus vs one that is 2% crit 20% severity 10% accuracy. Dummy it down for me please. Does 60% crit dmg only apply to THAT one phaser array whereas the ACC array will eventually add to YOUR overall crit dmg once you compensate for target's defense rating?
I am trying to spec my Excelsior (or MVAM, might go back to it), but I find I need all the dmg modifier abilities rather than debuffing abilities. For example, I need to take Sci Team, HE and TSS III instead of Tractor Beam, Gravity well, etc., because I die TOO quickly.

That's all fine and great for Tacs and Sci.. but what about Engi? Won't some one PLEASE think about the Engineers!
To be honest.. this thread is making me wonder about my builds now even more.. I thought I had a good hand on what I was using... but now... I'm not so sure...

;-) I am working on a write-up about weapon modifiers, but it's looking like tonight is going to be busy, so, I may have to hold off on finishing it until later in the week, and I plan to touch on a whole range of things, including what modifiers can be most useful for various types of builds and even more generally, by class. Hopefully, I'll touch on some thoughts that will help.
