Dev Team, I know you guys are addressing the issue regarding Ground PvP, but when can we expect the fixes hit tribble? This Spawn Camping in Ground PvP, the 1-shot kills, the Invulnerable Sci Healers, are really becoming rather infamous and really unfun.

So when can we expect some definitive news regarding the fixes? Or do I need to get out the sock puppets? :p

Back in Season 3. Engineers used to be the strongest. Now Sci's can tank like crazy. Tacs can one shot and engineering pets stand no chance.

Its not just the PVP that needs fixed... a lot of PvE content needs balanced as well....

I just thought of something, wouldnt it be awesome if the game had something like a test server where major changes to the game can be constantly balanced to perfection so that the game combat values that cryptics random dartboard of destiny picks dont horribly screw up the main game that we all pay for...

oooohhhh wait........

There is not much specific details in your complain so excuse me if my answers are not covering everything.

1) About Spawn Camping: In my own opinion, if your spawn point is being occupied by the enemy and you are overwhelmed to a point where you can't spawn and move away at all, you basically have lost the match, JUST AS IT SHOULD BE. Do not let the enemy take your base. I know many players do not agree with this but that is my opinion.

2) About 1-shot kills: deal with it, yes it happens but why should it not? If someone manage to sneak on you, buff himself and/or debuff you, why would the player not be rewarded for it. As far as i know, in most games, sneak attacks always have been deadly and snipers have most of the time kill people with just one shot. Use better armor, keep moving, seek cover, pay attention to your surrounding, work with a team and finally be lucky.

3) About Invulnerable Sci Healer: It is a myth. Maybe you could not take one down in a 1 on 1 battle. That does nto mean that 3-4 players working as a group can't kill one. Furthermore, some classes have access to skills and abilities that can help deal with these.

Seriously, no one is invulnerable and i dare anyone to prove the contrary. Depending of your chosen Kit and spent ability points, you may find some targets harder to kill or seem even impossible but no one is invulnerable against everything, especially when it comes from multiple sources ( players and/or pets and/or constructs ).

( I really wanted to reply to the OP in my own way and i do not mean to offend anyone. I am not calling anyone a liar but i strongly disagree with OP's point of view )

How do you get into ground PVP? I queue up but never get a match.

I'm sorry, but the ol "Deal with it" is rather insulting.

The PvP community said there is a problem, the Dev Team agreed. All I'm asking is when we are going to see the fruits of that labor in tweeking Ground. I mean are we going to wait another three months like the fix to FAW?

A timetable would be nice to know.

Actually during Headstart, Sci used to be the best because of the non-stop healing abilities. Science players were almost gods in the begining of STO. Then Cryptic nurfed PvP enough to semi-balance it out. Unfortunately, now PvP is far from balanced in general.

I don't like 1 shot'n people on my tac, where's the fun for them and vis versa? Security Escort III is still bugged too, with being a tad OP. Oh boy could I go on and on with ground problems...

I think atm the dev team is so totaly swamped in work that you wont see a timetable any time soon. its prob nr 287 on their epic list of "to do". 100$ says they are probably all stressed out working like crazy as we speak.

That's the thing, they aren't owning up to their responsiblities. The Dev Team rushed out Season 4 without listening to the testing feedback. If they waited 1 week, we likely wouldn't be having this problem.

Are you kidding me? We might have fewer bugs but we would still have balance problems. Heck even if they had waited 1 month you would still have "XXX is OP" threads after release. More than 1 year after the release STOs balance in space is still far from perfect (also far from unplayable but you know what I mean) and no matter what they do until they close down the game there will always be balance issues. So waiting with a release just hoping you get the balance right is never a good idea because in the first week some PvPers will find a "OP" build and you are back at the beginning.
