So I got an efficient saurian today Then I was wondering... does he have to be stationed at a console for me to benefit from his trait, or merely having him part of the available crew work? I suppose this would apply to Borg and other similar boffs.

Has to be in one of your Ships Boff Slots.

My borg boff, on a station or not, Doesnt change my systems at all.

Slot him - check your power levels. Unslot him - check your power levels. You should see a difference.

Remember that the efficiency trait only helps power levels that are below 75.Most of the time mine only add 1 to the power.

Also, Efficient officers will be most beneficial to Engy Captains since a lot of their captain powers and cruiser powers benefit from the Efficiency skills.
