Integrated graphics tend to have less performance, but use considerably less power than dedicated cards. Even a cheap dedicated card would make a noticeable difference for you.

No, no no. It will run like a snail with a slug on its back.

Get yourself a dedicated graphics card, even the old ones costing about $30/£20 will run sto pretty well.

Not to be rude, but that's a horrible graphics card. You almost need a top end card to play STO.

Hell the Nvidia 8600 I have on my other computer isn't even good enough (as in, I can't really use max settings) for STO.

I can vouch for low end cards to an extent. I hava a Nvida 6150 card and can run STO with, but in short, my graphics are crap. But it does work on my end.

With respect you have a 8600 Nvidia, That is not a low end graphics card, it is an OBSELITE graphics card, it was made in 2007 and could be bougt on ebay for about a dollar.

A low end graphics card (which was high end just LAST year) can be bought for about 30$ / £20.

Again this is not a low end card, it was made in 2005, and even the lowest of the low end cards made recently outshine it greatly.

Not to be a snob but a gfx card made 6 and a half years ago is not low end, it is almost none functional

I didn't say my other computer's card was low end, I'm just saying that the 8600 wasn't even as good in performance for STO.

I dont mean no offence, I know you said it was your old pc, I just wanted to make it clear to the OP that none of the cards listed (or suggested) as 'low end' are viable.

GFX cards that cost $1000+ that where cutting edge 2 years ago can be bought for next to nothing nowadays, and will run sto like a dream.

I'll get some examples soon, but have alot of work to do.

No offence to anyone once again, just wanted the OP to know they can get a very good 'cutting edge' gfx' card that will run sto , for very cheap.
