For one I liked the fact that you (in PvP back when i did and enjoyed that... yea... I actually enjoyed PvP once), had to rely on my team mates for a cure for VM because I didn have Sci team. Or that I could smack ships to pieces in seconds, if their team didn do healing to counter my escort.

I dropped PvP because of thoose changes. I expirience more class division/specialization back then, because you knew you needed your team mates back then... you don't anymore, and I find that most boring.

Edit/Addition:
I have tons of things that are bugging me about the changes.... I would get a Infraction for spam from a Yellow-name if i had to write them all up.

It's still like that; If you don't have a Hazard, you need a teammate to clear Aceton Field/Peng radiation/Warp Plasma/Plasma fire from you. If you don't have an EngTeam, you need a teammate to clear VM/Target Subsystems/Phaser procs/system disables from you, etc etc.

As for needing your team, you still do; as a Sci/Sci, you can debuff your opponents to oblivion and back but without an Escort, you're not going to be able to do enough damage to crack their defenses. As a Cruiser, you can tank like a beast but don't have the burst to overcome other people's heals. As an Escort, you can burn through people but are dead in the water without support from a Sci or Cruiser.

This is the major argument here. No one is asking for a complete shift in focus(IE: from PvE to PvP). What we are asking for is something. A new gametype, a new map, something. If only the foundry could be used for such things...(when it works,, lol)...

Dont worry, as soon as it goes FTP your going to get a whole new batch of people to pvp against.

It doesnt matter what kind of bread you try to wrap this game in, its still a bologna sandwich.
