Hi Guys,
I need some help. What are some viable builds for the c-store MVAM ship? All I need are weapons and tac boff layout. I know what to do for the rest. I am used to flying tac ships like the tac retrofit, the fleet escort and such. Unfortunately I don't have the AE, and it will take me forever to get enough dilithium to buy it so I am stuck with this ship. So what are some good tac boff skills, and the weapon layout to go with it. Thanks!

It's an escort, you say your familiar with them and yet you need to know what weapons to use and how to layout your weapons and BOFFs?

Tac - Single Target
TT1 > CRF1 > APO1 > APO3
TT1 > CRF1
BO1 or THY1

Tac - Multi Target, use CSV and BFAW or TS1

Tac - Combination, Change one CRF to CSV

I like two Copies of APO, if you prefer APB2 instead of APO1 use it.

Weapons.
3 DHC's and a DBB or Torpedo or another DHC. 3 Turrets in the back. Or 2 Turrets and a Beam Array if your using BO1

If you use four DHC's don't equip a 3rd Tac BOFF, nothing will work there. DHC and DC are interchangable use what ever combo you prefer.

Generally all Escorts need a variation on this.
3 DHC's, 1 Extra fore weapon, 3 Turrets.

TT1 x2 CRF/CSV1 x2, APO at least 1.

Is there a guide around to all of these acronyms? I'm sure they make perfect sense to people who can recite the names of the bridge abilities, but then there are the rest of us who need a cheat sheet.

Tactical Team
Cannon Rapid Fire
Cannon Scatter Volley
Torpedo High Yield
Torpedo Spread
Attack Pattern Omega

Dual Heavy Cannons, Dual Cannons, Dual Beam Bank

Apologies, there used to be a stickied thread that explains all the abeviations.

DHC = Dual Heavy Cannons
DC = Dual Cannons
DBB = Dual Beam Bank

The number is the rank of the ability.
APO = Attack Pattern Omega (D is Delta, B is Beta, sometime referred to by Beta, Delta, Omega)
BFAW = Beam Fire at Will
BO = Beam Overload
CRF = Cannon Rapid Fire
CSV = Cannon Scatter Volley
TT = Tactical Team
THY = Torpedo High Yield
TS = Torpedo Spread
