imo the defiant shouldn't have a cmd ltcmd and ensign tac boff i think if you switch the ltcmd for a lt. it would be more balanced. In fact i think you should switch it with the multi vector and give that a ltcmd to have them both balanced around each other. just a thought.

In my opinion the Defiant-R already has the weakest BOFF build of all the end game escorts. On my Qin I would trade my tac ensign for a science ensign in a heartbeat.
You know what’s awesome, this assumption that correlation equals causation. A lot of people in PVP who are not very good like to complain about the Defiant because it’s Defiant captains who are handing it to them.
Have any of these individuals spent a little time with the thought that an individual whom likes to fly escorts, likes to PVP, and is in the Federation, may want to fly the most war like ship available?
It’s not the Defiant R people, it’s the captains who fly the Defiant R. They want to get the drop on you, they want to completely overpower you and turn you into dust. They also have had the same thing done to them soooooo many times that they learned how to make their ships as survivable as possible.
Honestly, I can do more damage and TAKE more damage in my Fleet Escort. I just rather fly a Defiant….. because I want to fly the most war like ship in the fleet. You know, a ship that reflects my attitude…. MY STYLE!
The real crazy thing is, if the Defiant R was nurfed into oblivion, all these posters will then be crying for a nerf to the Fleet, Advanced or Multi Vector. As, all of the Defiant pilots migrate to viable alternatives.
