Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
Yep, I can see it now, some Escort firing off a PST and finishing it off with a nice DHC barrage. And every Federation PvPer equipping Tracking Torps to give chase to that escaping BoP.
Why they can use it to explain the phantom crits against KDF players that run and try and cloak.
Wait, they're making a Photonic Shockwave torp? Have they said anything about what it'll actually do?
If not, I'm going to go ahead and hope that it's not literally a launch able PSW, or at least hope that its nowhere near as potent as a ship based PSW. Because that would just be silly.
When I heard that on the Stoked interview with Al, he said it would cause a PSW when the Torp Hit. Basically a long ranged PSW.
I guess this version will not be destructible... have half the Tric yeild... with a Photonic Radiation Dot... that will be only clearable by Aux to Damp... and will have a secondary explosion that while small will have a secondary stun that is timed to go off just as your stun immunity clears from the initial blast.
This new weapon will be a non unique drop for the remastered “Welcome to Earth Spacedock” mission. The Klingon Faction will get access to this new weapon at a "later" time.
I also forgot to mention that, although tric like as well as Shockwave like.... it really is a torp there for to spec it...
Only the tier 1 and 2 torp skills will effect it... don't worry though Cryptic will balance it so you don't miss those points at all.
Did you guys miss that there was also mention of a 'tailpipe' torpedo that would presumably track cloaked ships?
Perhaps all of these can be combined, along with the time-traveling Borg tech...FvK would now be resolved instantly, as the KDF ships explode before combat begins.
And then died inside when I heard Cloak Seeking Torp.
Seeing as how a quantum if fired, before a ship cloaks. and the ship then cloaks is still getting (and indeed gauranteed then) a quantum pimp smack what is the use in this? Other than to end a match before it even begins?

Well, since torps do garbage damage even to cloaked ships these days, I imagine that a cloak seeking torp would probably be more along the lines of a control aspect- not so heavy on the damage, but maybe drain power/decloak the ship or the like.
Actually, that might be a way to do something like the Ent E in Nemesis- have a 'Beam Target Stealthed Ship' power, where it fires a bunch of times and has a chance (a reduced chance, but a chance nonetheless) to hit a cloaked ship in the area, and if it hits it concentrates, drains power/decloaks/unmasks.

The only reason torps don't do more dmg to cloaked ships right now....
Is we are all running Mono Armours thanks to BS peng torps.
