Of course, the relatively minor problem with this counter is the general lack of gravity and turtle shells in space.

Easy way to fight these guys:

1: Choose a ship
2: Cap level
3: Get all purple gear
4: Get a team of great PvPers
5: Practice for 12+ months against superior ships
6: Practice some more
7: Practice teamplay
8: Pray for luck

Then maybe you can best them

Seriously, these guys are among the top 3 PvP fleets in the game.. Its no surprise you have a difficult time tbh.

Also, it's might be hidden code for: Exploit the 60 flight angle and circle upwards as fast as you can, so the Goombas can't get you in your firing arc. :p

I've never even seen more than 1 garumba in a match before. I have no advice They are usually squishy though. I'm sure however the lesser goombas above (not skill, just species) are far from squishy.

They are usually squishy because only Fed alts used to fly them.. Those people are squishy in a Starcruiser, Vo'quv or Intrepid R as well.

The first thing you'd need to do to fight an organized ganktroop like that one is getting a troop of your own. Unless you take command of your random group, I seriously doubt you will have much of a success with a PUG.

I supposed the term "premade group" is well known nowadays. You're trying to take on a group that likely has ingame/outgame communication (like TS3/Mumble) and of course some fotm **** fitting.

One thing you're going to need is CC abilities. Stuff like Photonic Shockwave. Tractor repulsors to push the zerg away and try to single out one of them.

There are ways to tank massive damage.

Hoowever, STO PvP is at a state where there is a L O T of fotm toys and IWINs that makes the game more of a WoW than Star Trek.

To be honest, I hope you are using escorts because it is usually on top of the foodchain if you can't bring CC/organized teamplay.
