Nope, I'm not being listened too at all it seems so you can count me out of your broad, sweeping, generalisation.

They'll be working on all that new content that will ultimately be released buggy and cause many crashes to the desktop.

I have a question that arose from one of the answers given:

Quote:
Top 3 owned ships (outside of starter ships)

Federation Cruiser
Federation Escort
Federation TOS Cruiser
I though the TOS Cruiser was a starter ship? So what does that mean?

and some other questions ...

Quote:
This question comes up frequently and previously we’ve stated that we feel older era ships should not be competitive with newer high end ships.
I don't recall those previous statements being made so explicitly. And unfortunately, I don't see this game holding to that at all. Older era ships that are competitive with newer high end ships:

1- T5 Excelsior
2- The Galaxy, Intrepid and Defiant
3- The Vulcan science ship
4- T5 Nebula

All of those are older "era" ships that are competitive with newer ships like an Avenger, an Imperial Class Assault Cruiser, a Prometheus and a Luna.

So I really don't understand where any of that statement comes from since the actions do not back that up in the slightest.

We are still debating whether some form of crafting related retrofit would be possible. If we did do something like this, it would most like be a Season 5 or beyond feature.
Meh, that's all 2012 and later. Why even talk about it now?

Whatever, I changed my post to "people" to be more politically correct. Call it broad and sweeping all you want but it is the truth.

That may be true, but endgame has been neglected for far too long. It's not just about attracting new players/customers, but retaining the ones you have. I for one am very happy to see this get some priority.

Many of the lifetimers who have no doubt purchased items through the Cstore obviously disagree.

Came here hoping for good news, left disappointed by yet another "wait another 2 month's its finnished Soon(TM)"

Thank you Cryptic for the massive writeup and I am quit sure you are doing your possible best to make Sto a good game, because thats what you guys did 1 year after the launch when the game turned around and got really good. However all this waiting is really really hard to bear.

At least give priority to the Doff System, id be even happy if the beta of that would hit tribble by late August so there was at least something (even if its on the test server) to actually do with my characters in the game. Farming old missions, STF's and that can only hold so long. My main is decked out completly, alt quit good too and im doing a 3rd and 4th char right now because there is absolutely nothing new to do at endlevel.
But its getting annoying grinding the same missions over and over and over.

So any word on when you might get Doffs on tribble?

Also LT here and id have unsubbed 5 month's ago if it wasnt for that.
Ive been waiting and waiting and waiting for something new hoping that August might bring some new content, but nah all of that late september and late october for the really important stuff.

Hmm, I've been always pro-cryptic and pro-sto dev team, but those release dates (especially the new FE at the END OF OCTOBER?!) get me a little frustrated now. The main reason for that might be that it has been talked about for soooo looooong.
Will there be anything on Star Trek's 45th anniversary at the beginning of September? In my opinion this deserves a big event and not... nothing?!
At this point it just feels like things are getting pushed back and pushed back and pushed back again.
I'm just disappointed right now. I hope things will get better in the future though.

I have to admit I'm a little disappointed myself, but i'd like to think that while we wait, we get some decent previews to at least give us some reason to stick around.

I agree, it should get some priority at least. But I have to wonder just how many players this would help retain currently. Just how many continue to play the Borg and STFs on a daily basis... especailly given how bugged they have been?

Anyone who purchased through the C-store supported the Fluff in the C-store. Cyrptic listened to that support. Simple question... in the past 8 monhts, what has been the most consistent thing regarding STO? Please, don't make me answer that... I hate stating the obvious.
