There is always a really good clue about what's going on and what may happen in these supplementals. This one was quite interesting. The Union does very little without it's own interests at heart, especially in it's weakened state. It will be interesting to reveal exactly why they felt they could afford to spare a Task Force to help the Romulans when they themselves are seemingly desperate for it.

I really enjoyed reading this - I could definitely hear Garak speaking in my head as I read it and, of course, I'm always glad for new updates.

Like many others, I liked Garak in DS9. He's always been secretive, ruthless when needed to be, and yet kind when needed also. I sure would have hated to have been brought up in his environment.

I tend to agree that we'd like to see more of the timeline. Personally, I like the general overview laid out, and supplemental inserts to fill in the blanks. It'd be more like reading on WWII. You already know the end of it, as well as the fallout i.e. Cold War. However, you can always go back and read up on the details. A shame that Cryptic has taken to give us little bits and bites of future history.

Same here. Garak was a pleasent character where you didn't know what was going to happen.

Anyhow, I like this Supplement. The Cardassians are interesting as ever. Wonder how the politics will playout by the 2409?

It would be funny if they joined the Klingon Empire and then the Klingons bombed their planet in the STO expansion...

Seems like the Romulans and the Cardassians may start up their own little Typhon Pact.

And yeah, Garak was always interesting. It's so cliched that there's a character who's evil most of the time and nice other times. Garak was always evil, but in the best way possible.
