Have there been any other stats given for the sao palo class ships as of yet? I'm courious about the ship itself. I love that cannon, but I always thought the big improvement on the defiant to the saopalo was the anti breen shielding. So I'm wondering if the Saopalo got say an ens. eng boof instead of an ens tac slot, or even a commander tac and a commander eng slot. Any info out there on this? thanks in advance.
but no real info on the ship stats as of yet? will it have any stats different from the defiant refit or am i getting it just for the quads and putting them on my defiant? any devs that see this please a sneak peek or link to one? Please?
It will probably fit the pattern of all the other +1 ships. It will be a T4 escort, with one extra Lt. level power and n additional console (engineering?)? hard to tell in this case since it will be the first ship that comes with a special weapon instead of a console.
I doubt it will get a fifth front weapon slot for that.
Maybe slightly better hull?
And the costume option should work on the regular T4 Defiant and the T5 as well.
I agree that the Sao Paulo varient MUST have immunity to the Breen Energy Dampening Weapon.
*scratches head*
Hmm, either it's the old version from DS9 which everyone is supposedly immune to or it's a new version and...why should the Sao Paulo be immune to it?

To make it stand out from the crowd. That is only if it is not added as a new skin. If it is a new skin, well to your point, only ONE Defiant class ship ever had a cloaking device. Every Tier 5 Defiant has one now.

Which is, ironically, the inverse of what we have in STO.
Where in ST it was one which a cloak and in STO many you're propsing to give one ship in STO what all had in ST.
So when johnnymo0829 said that was most likely the improvement the Sao Paulo had over the Defiant he mean the old model and that is actually a thing every ship has.
When you say it "MUST" have that ability, it appeared to me like you implied there was a uniqueness about it (like the cloak on the Defiant which is something no other Fed ship in the prime timeline used on a regular basis).
But since it's the opposite of that in fact (because everyone had it) that's what confused me.
To give the Sao Paulo not something actually unique but something rather common would be like giving a ship the special ability to launch a shuttle or to fly backwards.
It's actually not something unique to any ship IMO.
Considering the game takes place many many years after the events of DS9 we can infer that the Federation has done some work on cloaking devices, whether they are "officially" allowed per terms of the treaty or not.
