Quick question to all of you, regardless if you PvP, PvE, or RP:
Do you use Aux2Batt?
And a quick public service announcement: please, if you're even thinking of entering a PvP match, olease for the love of Picard, choose a different BO and do not bring Aux2Batt. You just end up being a liability to your team. Kthxbai.
What does Aux2Bat do? It reduces your Auxiliary Power considerably and boosts your remaining power levels. Why is that not useful?
- It shares a cooldown with the Emergency Power to XXX powers. These are very effective skills to boost your energy levels, and they boost directly the energy level you're interested in, and do not reduce any energy levels you might have a good use for, and they have a far more effective recharge time then Aux2Batteries, and provide secondary effects (of which the Emergency Power to Shields secondary effect is the most useful.)
- Auxillary Power is useful for your science skills.
- You should never run around with energy levels that need that much boosting. If you use Efficiency and Performance skills and max the energy level you need at any given time, the net gain of this power is marginal.
- It occopuies a valuable Lt. to Commander level spot, that you could fill with several other, effective powers.
"But", you might ask, "Why is Auxiliary to Battery so bad? Surely Cryptic's designer would work on balancing the skills better?" To which I say: Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda. As a PvP player with a big interest in balanced powers, I will certainly occasionally mention this power to the Devs, hoping they'll eventually take a good look at it and figure out a better purpose or mechanic for it.
Ur right. Aux2bat is out of whack, its unbalanced in the game and should be nerfed. But fur now I use it.
Sorry bro if u think its OP then u shuld limit it to use on PvE missions only. If u use this in PvP its really lame if u ask me.
