Here is a great Defian-R build:

All Weapons are Mk XI:

Fore weapons:
2 Phaser Dual Heavy Cannons [Acc]x3
1 Phaser Dual Beam Bank [Acc]x3
1 Quantum Torpedo Launcher [Purple, get it from ESD]

Aft Weapons:
3 Phaser Turrets Mk XI [Acc]x2

Consoles: All are Mk XI Rare

Borg Set with MACO Mk XII Shield

Engineering Consoles:
Borg Universal
1 Nutronium Alloy
RCS Accelerator

Science Consoles:
Cloak Universal Console
1 Field Generator

Tactical:
4 Phaser Relays

Bridge Officers.

Tactical:
Cmd: TT 1, CRF 1, THY 3, APO 3.
Lt. Cmd: BO 1, THY 2, BO 3.

Engineering:
EPtS 1 & 2

Science:
Hazard Emitters 1
Transfer Shield Strength 2

You could use maco shields for the passive and the engines and deflecter as omega for the ability to drain shields.replace the torps for a dual beam bank and get beam overload 3,takes out shields and allow your cannons and turrets to finish the job with tac team 1,rapid fire 1 and all your tac abilities,duplicate those boff abilities on another officer for faster recharge(beam overload 3 belongs to very rare boff on exchange may be hard to get)and have attack pattern omega.emergency shield 1 and 2 and finally choose 2 of these 4

hazard emitter;heal hull,gets rid of plasma fire

Polorize hull;damage resist,immunity to tractor

Science team;shield heal,gets rid of effects of jam sensors,scramble sensors

Tractor beam;holds target in place(useful when in escort dogfight)also has a bonus kinect damage

But your setup is good too so you can stick to it of you want

would the above weapon layout work on the Sao paulo version? would you include its quad cannons?

Haha, that's right. I have a much different build then what I have posted here. This was posted a long time ago, and I have changed my build a lot since then. Since this thread seems to have risen again, I will modify it to my current build.

Quad Cannons are useless in PvP. They probably work ok for PvE, but for PvP, they are useless.
