i thought those sets were a bad idea as soon as they were announced, all standard gear has been made irreverent because of them and everyone's ship looks like a freak show now. they need to add random bonuses to non set gear that makes it actually competitive. the sets are here to stay, so non set gear needs a buff

Yes, Combat and Hyper-Impulse Engines need to be changed. The benefit can no longer be energy level dependent. The decisions of the Efficient Impulse Engines also pointed out for me that the current approach to the engines is way too "arcane" or "cryptic". "Efficient at Low Power Levels" says nothing useful at all.

They should just make Combat Impulse Engines give better turn rates and Hyper-Engines higher speed. Now the options are clearly defined and understood.

thanks guys.
I'll be around untill the 5th anyway, & hopefully after that as well. It's just kinda up in the air ATM.
