Namely turn rate of the ship coupled with the 90 degrees firing arc of the single cannons or is it 180. Either way... you'd have to test it out some to see if its viable or not.

Right, 180 degree on the singles, instead of the 45 degree on the DHCs.

The build works fine in my Excelsior, but then that have slots for both CRF and APBeta

Do you plan to try both ships with that setup or just the kar'fi? Also, what is the BO layout for the vorcha if you go that route? I got confused figuring ouch which one was for which. i'd like to see you post a screen shot after a pvp match or two and show us how well it did.

Is the survivability of the vorcha close to that of the excelsior? That would be the deciding factor if you can stay in the fight without poping.

Higher survivability.

Excelsior 2x EP2S2, 2x EP2W1, DEM2+3 + ETeam1

Vorcha 2x EP2S2, 2x EP2W3, 2x ETeam1, DEM3

Basically, I can drop weaponspower since EPW3 gives a lot higher power bonus (and dam%), the shields will run at 125 power, so the spare power can be dropped in engines or aux for better manouvrebility or Hazards. Im planning to make up for the missing AP Beta with EPW and Cloak damage boost.

Why not switch 1-2 of those forward single cannons to DHCs for extra firepower when you face your target? If a Galaxy-X can use it, so can battlecruiser with its turnrate.

Way back when about 10 months ago I pulled my Tac out of a Raptor for the first and only time and put him into a Vor'cha for a little while. The ship could produce plenty of firepower, enough so that it was barely a step down from my Raptor but the increase in survivability was incredible at the time. Of course times have changed in terms of skills and all that but here is my take on things in no particular order:

-You're not running a focused defensive strategy, you have EPtS and tac team, but you're mixing T-Team with E-Team and there will inevitably be conflict at a bad time and your defenses will be overwhelmed; either increase the hull tanking power of the build or streamline everything towards shielding.
----Towards that end, the repair value E-Team 1 is not worth tying up that many skill points and your tac teams; it would be more efficient for you to switch to running AuxtoSIF and allocating the points to the T5 Aux skill thereby buffing both your healing skills.
----However if you want the hull tanking route then rework your science slots to include polarize hull, and again AuxtoSif would be beneficial here as well.

-You've got a bleeder build going here, and while that can work just fine, I would personally prefer a little 'punch' myself to make sure that I can turn the tables if needed and the easiest way to accomplish that are the torpedoes.
----Don't know if you care, but my old build also used a dual cannon up front (DC not DHC) for the added dps in buffed attacks; but then again I had AuxtoDamp in the build for the added maneuverability so you may or may not find that useful.

-Why aren't you running full power to weapons? You are a tac and you live and die by the guns so.....why are you underpowering them?
----I understand that you've got EPtW twice over in your build, but it's another conflict with your defenses for a gain that can be had naturally.

-I'm a little confused by why you're using the Aegis Deflector. While I admittedly do not remember the stats off-hand, most people (I'm not one of them, but then again nobody listens to me) don't use the Borg shield and replace it rather than anything else.
-Drop the +13% regen console and add another neutronium
-Drop the tractor beam, but if you really want to hold onto it, definitely get the skill points out of it, they provide no benefit to the actual holding power (or at least it didn't, I haven't checked in a while).

This build......I don't understand.

You have plenty of defense but no offense to speak of at those power levels and insufficient support capabilities to be of any great value other than a Pug-bomber build.

If this is intended for offense though, then shift the power to weapons and out of Aux, use Rapid Fire or Scatter Volley but not both.

Also I am not the biggest fan of APDelta, but it does have value on a carrier; even so I think you might want to consider switching to Beta, but w/e.

Hope this helps
