I'm playing on a Federation Tactical character with a C-Store Heavy Escort Carrier. I have 2 open BOFF slots.

I'm trying to buy a Bridge Officer with the "Efficient" trait from the Exchange, but every time I do this it won't complete. The entry erases and brings up the next cheapest BOFF.

When I try to hit "Search" again, thinking it was bought or taken off the Exchange, the listing I was trying to buy from pops up again.

Is this a known bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Is your inventory full by any chance?

My inventory has empty slots in it. But it has an Engineering BOFF in it as well. Would that make a difference?

How many non-commission BO candidates do you have? I believe the max for this is 12...

Having the same issue right now on a KDF char. Cannot buy boffs at all.
And yes - I got free slots in my inventory :-). A message pops up that the purchase cannot be completed at this time.
Guess we have to be patient and try again later...

Seeing that there's another player with this issue, either we're both doing something wrong or there's a bug.

Found the issue. Indeed, I had too many non-commissioned candidates. I got rid of a few and bought just fine.

(And the one I actually wanted? Found it after clearing space for 250k less than expected. Good "bug". )
