while we dont need warp engines to go to jupiter and for that matter even in star trek they use fusion drives to travel inner system i dont think we are far off from going further. Most of the problem is time. The future is vast but many for this generation wont be along for the ride. Not because of their age but lack of imagination and limits of people to use the mind to go beyond. When i hear we cant i just think back to 1960 where it was what do you think we can do.

try not to be so limited in thought. satelites take the time they take because its a safe route. A human driven space ship would not take the same route of such a unman vehicle.
