Let's just hope Voyger 1 doesn't come back looking for it's creator, and then decide to take out the "infestation" on the homeworld

That shouldn't be a problem, we seem to have a lot of Kirk's around anyway and probably even more will appear.

Hmm, how to get future generations prepared for the end of the world - 'Rule 1 and only rule - Stick your head between your legs and kiss your backside goodbye. We spent so long being backwards, primative primates who kill one another over meaningless nonsense that we couldn't be bothered to consider improving our chances of survival from any hostile outside sources.
We're doooooooooomed! Thank you for your attention, die well. Peace out'

We are so doomed.

# 20 maybe this will help

Hmmm perhaps this will help shorten the trip. Ion drive is one step closer to fusion drive.

http://www.newscientist.com/article/...s-to-mars.html

while we dont need warp engines to go to jupiter and for that matter even in star trek they use fusion drives to travel inner system i dont think we are far off from going further. Most of the problem is time. The future is vast but many for this generation wont be along for the ride. Not because of their age but lack of imagination and limits of people to use the mind to go beyond. When i hear we cant i just think back to 1960 where it was what do you think we can do.

try not to be so limited in thought. satelites take the time they take because its a safe route. A human driven space ship would not take the same route of such a unman vehicle.
