If you take work away from the man, you take something away from the man....this is why I stay away from carriers, with the exception of the Karfi.

PVP takes much for true dedication....and nothing beats a knock down drag out one on one.

Good post OP

I will 2nd Mel's post. When I lose to some of those fleets and a couple others I know I was beat by better players.

To QEW I will say for the most part my relationship with your fleet has been cordial at WORST, and friendly at best, feel free to correct me if I am wrong, because that has been my perception. So I will ask both QEW and Star trekfan to please bury the hatchet, and I do not mean into each other . There are handful of fleets that I respect because of play style and innovation you guys are right up there and whatever brought on the ill will towards some of the members of LF/SoS can we please work to at least get it back to cordial.

We usually bring 1 or 2 escorts and we need them to kill players not spam. I will just smile about this view of the escorts fleet but you will admit, that CSVs tiny arc is not a real alternative to FAW. But hey what about the new TorpSpread, which is totally fine whereas FAW isnt...

Very good post Melanie!!!!

To the players and teams that rely on skill, and avoid the cheese, I salute you!

These individuals and teams are what make PvP worth playing IMO!

keep up the good work!

There no hatchet for Qew to bury

TBH we really like playing LF, one of the most fun fleets to play against in the entire game. Your builds are some of the most diverse in the game, and we never know just what to expect when we see a 5 man LF team on the other side. Really like the 5 man escort teams you guys run, they are, not surprisingly, very difficult to defend against, makes for a fun but challenging match.

I agree

While I can't speak for the rest of the Fed fleets (or even my own), I love going into fights (whether it's premade v premade or pug v premade) and having no Scramble or FAW.

Ditto praxis, but unfortunately it seems it's more Exception to run into those matches than anything else.

I knew when i read this topic last night and saw our team name there that the usual crowd would come out and attempt to bash us.

It must really suck to be a hater of Qew. I mean we give you nothing to work with. We play with inferior ships, our science spam is pitiful, we have never cheated with exploits, we always follow the OPVP rules, we dont stomp pugs all day every day with proper 5 man setups (Hence XMen, Turret Boats, Goombas, Pirates, etc.), we even hosted a couple of events for everyone. We win because of good communication on heals/teams/debuffs and high burst damage.

Ouch, that must be really frustrating trying to troll us with that resume. I mean the best points Ive seen out of this topic are "They saved everyone 15 minutes by giving up a match when it was already out of hand @ 16-1 against them in a totally Federation biased tournament" and "They support SS, and due to my limited knowledge of game mechanics, i think this is a bad thing.".

Of course, let's not mention the fact that Klingons have the worst science ship in the game and have a much harder time fitting in SS - oh and dont forget to ignore the fact SS allows the opposing team to see cloaked Birds - negating the one advantage Klings have.

Anyways, now that I think about it, I cant recall any of the three main Klingon teams *ever* being caught with exploits. Let's keep that up, as the same cannot be said about the majority of the Fed teams.

Where did I say anything about escorts?

Yes, I usually have a copy of CSV1 in my escort builds, we all know that a Tac Captain have more than enough Tac skills with four or five slots (courtesy of Tactical Initiative) so that leaves atleast 3 slots for secondaries, one of which very well could be a CSV.

However. an Excelsior or Sovereign with CSV is more than able to keep a decent amount of spam down.
