Considering the recent Ask Cryptic question and Dan Stahl's answer to it
Q: OldLordSkull: What are your immediate/short-term plans for the Foundry? Us authors would love more assets, triggers, cut-scene tech and more, but we’ve seen nothing for a long time.
A: Because the Foundry is a cross project tool that will appear in multiple Cryptic Games, the development team that manages the Foundry features are currently working on features for Neverwinter. That said, in order to bring over all of the new features and updates they are adding to the tool, we need to synch up our code between our projects in order to take advantage. We expect to do this sort of big merge again after F2P launches. In the short term, one of the things the STO team can do is hook up new social zones for Foundry access
The STO foundry needs some sort of love. If it can't be new features used in Neverwinter until the next code merge then it should be something else. For example assets, maps and costumes. The foundry community feels that the STO foundry hasn't been given the attention it deserves and therefore to me it feels like Cryptic don't appreciate the contribution of foundry authors make to this game. I know on an intellectual level that this is not the case but that is the way it feels at the emotional level.
There are plenty of things that could be done to rememdy this situation without relying on the cool new features that the code merge will bring to the foundry. I would like to present a list (and open it up to others) to expand the list.
TOS-era maps used in the Devidian FE Series.
A few more 'empty' interiors Fed, Klingon and otherwise.
A wider variety of ship 'details' particularly for federation... miranda's are not the only ships to get destroyed in the federation.
Energy Weapon Dampening zone like in Colliseum
Jupiter costumes including Vet variants
Starfleet and Klingon Academy.
Basically every C-Store ship and character costume added since the Bajoran militia unis.
This is just a small sampling of things that should be addessed for the foundry. Thank you.
