Also, the best PvP advice is to actually join the klingon defense forces and fly a B'rel. No joke, it is like playing with god mode turned on ALL THE TIME.

Baaahhaa... Don't listen to these KLINGON players trying to scare you away from the OP side. He just wants you to get blowed up so you will think all is good and the sides are even after all... DON"T FALL OF IT.

The CARRIER is the Bees Knees man. No ship is a better tank... and the pets will kill everything for you man you can catch up on Fringe, Or Doctor Who... or even watch some Star Wars or something. All while your pets MESS the poor fed bait up man.

Carrier is OP. Get you one.

This is the secret I-WIN-Button for Klingon players:

http://www.stowiki.org/images/2/29/A...Klingon%29.png

It's advanced game mechanic and different colour make it superior to any skill the Fed side has in it's arsenal.

To unleash it's full potential use it as fast as possible when you're under red alert.

If the OP would get out of that Failaxy X, I'll take him under my wing as an Escort Pilot.

Or he could join my fleet. But he has to ditch the Failaxy.. I mean Galaxy X.

I was PvPing with my Klink (Grothoks) for most of the day, chances are I fought you at some point. If you tell me your toons name I'll probably recognise. Also, while I'm not as skilled as a lot of players here, I've been PvPing since the game started and I'm certainly no newb.

I know that as soon as I enter a map, I open the social window. I look for names/fleets I recognise, what ships they're flying and, when close enough, what career the captain is. Using this I pick my initial targets.

If the otherside isn't all that threatening, I'll change my Boff layout to be more offensive and less defensive.

No it was all pickup groups, I don't have a team. I use a dreadnought with weapons and equipment from the featured episodes and some emblem gear, a mix.
Most KDFers will have MK XI very rare equipment they've crafted (for one thing, it's the only way Klingons can get pengs). Featured episode gear, while very nice, isn't really up to scratch (apart from the subspace field modulator). With the exception of shields though, it doesn't really make much difference as long as your choice of weapons are okay.

All my gear is crafted/emblem-store Mk XI and from the STF mission rewards. The only exception is the covariant cap mk X cap x 3, which is the highest capacity for a non-drop shield.

Now if it was just me getting destroyed first I would chalk it up to my poor playing. It was however a complete route.

Not even close.
It's sad to say, but outside of La Familia popping into C&H, the majority of the players that day weren't all that good.

Regarding all the C&H I played yesterday, I'll just make these comments:-

Tacs in cruisers - nothing wrong with this, they're just generally a lot squishier then an engineer in a cruiser. I know I personally hunt them down.

Lack of extend shields for escorts - Unless the escort is an MVAM, is good at running or an engineer, without someone supporting him he's just cannon fodder.

Transphasic cluster torps - Utterly useless, with the damage being almost unnoticeable.

Aceton field - in 1v1 it may have *some* use, outside of that it's just a waste.

Boarding Parties - THE most useless skill in the game since virtually everyone carries it's counter. I saw this so many times.

Lack of tact team - I could perhaps just about understand it on a cruiser, but no tact teams on an escort?

Lack of team work - The otherside was full of ships going off by themselves and not focusing fire.

Lack of knowledge - Saw one escort just sit stationary at cap by himself. Needless to say he was space wreckage a few seconds after I spotted him. You have a far higher defense rating if moving, something which is especially important to an escort.

Maybe cruisers don't work for pvp.. Half the pickup or more were cruisers....
Unless you're really experienced and have great weapons and a great set up, cruisers are pretty poor for dealing damage. Even sci ships outrank them when properly equipped (CPB+TB for example). If you aren't a major damage dealer, the best thing you can do is be a major healer, which is far easier for a cruiser.

Welcome to the real Star Trek Universe, where the bad guys, the Klingons, always annihilate the good guys, and we haven't any Kirk who can save us! Mmm...I've a sneaking suspicion...they're so powerful because are paying a double subscription...

The Klingons are OP yes... And the reason for this is that they have this "I win" Skill...

They have had it since the beginning, and I find it extremely unfair, so I belive it is only reasonable that you take it away from them...

... nonononono... I am not thinking the Cloak.

What I am referring to is FAR worse than a cloak... It's devious, it's nasty... It' EVIL... It's...

Teamwork.

I have this nagging conscience telling me to actually contribute to this thread, so in order to appease it (curse you!) here are some guidelines for the OP regarding CnH:

1. The capture points don't really matter. There might be a difference in reward amount between losing the capture points or winning them. Not enough to have a major impact on your gameplay. Well done on that part, Cryptic. Anyways, you will almost always find klingons hunting in packs instead of actually caring about capturing. Capturing is pointless; some may argue otherwise, but those are usually the ones being run over like roadkill.

1a. Fly with a wingman or two. Even if they're pugs, stay with them and don't be stingy with your support powers. Also, focus fire.

2. It's mainly pugs but there may be some fleets who queue up. The fleets who do queue up don't really treat CnH seriously. It's for goofing around/practice/general mucking about.

3. Get out of that solo pve mentality if you want to survive longer. I advise you to get out of that galaxy x. Tac / cruiser -which when you're pugging CnH means you're mainly without support- is a PRIME target for klingons. Few people can pull off a tac / cruiser build, and fewer still can be both a threat AND a hard target to kill with it.

Ya, I saw some pretty nasty butt whippings yesterday morning when I was on my Klink. I think the worst I saw in 5 or 6 matches was 2 15 -3 rounds. I almost felt sorry for the Feds.....
