It's long time since I have seen constructive thread in pvp forums.... It usually turns out to ego-boosting (I know better than you cryptic), cryptic bashing (you useless bunch of ...), devil advocates (but but, its completely fine because), and other crap, that kinda undermine the "constructive" part of the thread.

Dalnar and Hurley you guys are having the chicken and the egg discussion. I will throw another facet into it. The abuse by one keeps the game balanced because one person on a five man team can be overcome. But you will now have full 5 man teams abusing a clearly broken mechanic is the crux. When fleets start running 5 man sci ship teams for stripping and TS it will destroy the queues as if they need anymore help. The latest revsions are doing a multiplicative effect and now has made the sci ship the only ship needed for competitive PvP.

Um.

Did they never do a 2x Quantum + 1x BA build on a shield strip before?

Guessing the systems team doesn't que up torp powers so as to have a quick 1-2 punch.

I'm guessing the systems team like the rest of the studio doesn't even know how to balance their shields.

My impression is the systems team isn't playing any ships at all, rather they are theory crafting and making equations from mined data.
