I was thinking alot about the near-eliminiation of GCD for torps...

How good would a ship like this be at just dealing hull damage with Gravity Wells and Transphasics?

Like a intrepid-r or something, transphasics in front, trans mines in the rear, running max aux with a Tac captain specced for transphasic damage? With stuff like TS2 and HY1... can you get enough damage in to alpha escorts and BoPs in PVP using transphasics and GW3?

I've thought about this some too. Tri Colbalts (especially after the upcoming torpedo change) might be able to make a alpha killer (like 2 front and a regular torpedo) for a shield stripper unit. for a more conventional torpedo bomber, I would probably go 1 or 2 photon (quickest firing), and a tricolbalt front, and something mean in the aft, like a photon or quantum mine, a tractor mine, and the mine torpedo.

Just my thoughts

photons are definetly the fastest reload with the trannies do you realy think your gonna be getting enough bleedthrough to counter their hull heals in my head its not working out but i have thought of thought about this before

since your not specing in any kind of other weapon why not try 2 torp types like plasma and tranny

or how bout this

fleet escort

fore
single cannon tetryon
rapid fire trannys X3

Aft
turrets tetryon X2
Tranny mine

ok so since its a fleet escort good turn rate and hull rating for an escort since your using the single cannon and turrets with tetryon its a increses your Chance of droping their shields and your pretty much always gonna have that in your arc the cannons and turrets are just there for the proc.... any ways now our can have mine dirpersal patern beta3, hy3, ts3 all those awesome torp and mine abilities
you can throw all torp enhancements in your tac consoles
also you can throw tacyon beam in science
and you can have a decent enginering syetem going on
but i just dont think all torps and mines can be viable you gotta get those shileds down

I'll go for you removing the global cooldown if you'll support a limited ammunition supply on each launcher.

That's not the GCD. All Launchers still have the same individual cooldown. Try adding a second launcher in the same arc.
