So wait... I am sci in a long ranger, my fit is full aux deflector dish heavy tachyon III and energy siphon maniac for attacking,. but mainly draw down support... But the question i have is this. With a photon launcher up front, should i be running tetryon (as i am) to help pull down those shields faster considering my weapons level is like 50 so with bonus'... or poloron to pull down enemy power while iam running?

Have you considered a third option of phasers? It costs a WHOLE LOT less points and disables subsystems.

If you are running with others, I'd aim to reduce power levels. If going solo, try to reduce shields because noone is going to do it for you.

I've got a couple captains with both types of the above mentioned weapon types. I fitted my Star Cruiser with all Poloron beams, which works pretty well. I've also got a Nebula Refit and a Ka'Fri Carrier using Tetryons. Either options works well in a support type role I think. Shields getting drained is always a plus and with a science captain you can target shield sub systems as well to take off the shields and hit them with the torps.

Use phasers. I've tried both tetryon and polaron, neither gained me anything in combat... they only ate up skill points.

Generally for cruiser or sci vessels I recommend using Phasers. Tetryon, Polarons and such are only worth for escort players. Considering that Tetryon and Polaron are expensive to spec for, their proc rates aren't notable to benefit from them.
-162 Shields for each facing Tetryon proc. I've been using Tetryon Dual heavy cannons again lately and from my point of view I haven't noticed any procs at all. (Just love the colour and the sound :p)

I plan on spending points strongly in the operations of systems relating to powers, that is to say, like deflectordish and so on, te skills are bread and butter... i can shoot off a no skilled extend shields for 277 or with 10 points shoot it off for 900, and same with tachyon III I can kinda touch a shield, or i can absolutely demolish with full aux as well as points in deflector dish

Having run with tetryon, polaron, and phasers, I say go with phasers. Only go with Tetryon or Polaron if you want that look. If you want to be more effective in combat I've found the phaser proc is WAY more useful. I don't recall even noticing when the polaron or tetryon proc kicked in, but it is dramatic when the phaser proc takes effect. Often the enemy will lose weapons and stop firing, or their shields will drop completely.

That said, I still run with Tetryon on my main, part because i'm specced into tet and part because i like the look, My second character runs phasers.

Now a secondary question on phasers then ...
CRF increase proccing?
Will having critH help critical rate? I want to be as helpfully acceptable as I can be!

Your trying to bring down shields, right? I didn't notice mention of D.E.M. in you list of skills there.
