In pve, i lasted for ages, than against the borg dses lasted longer than usual haven't pvp yet.

Up until semester started, I lived PVP. Part of it was the acceptance that "shields are fleeting". Check out my layout on the thread about Tac Excelsior PvP layout.

On my tACTICAL Excelsior:

Aegis engine:
Aegis deflector
Borg Shield


TAC: HYT 1, BO2,BO3

Engineer: ET 1, ET3, EPTS 1, EPTS2, APID 1, EPTE 1, DEM III,

SCI: Tractor Beam 1, TSS 2

The console that gives +35% to shield capacity (away from game machine)

I have a turn rate of 17.5 at full speed (not full impulse). Does decent damage and can still take a beating.

Ya it is a great layout. Don't see what I would change about it. Personally i noramally upgrade each ship I have with what its lacks. Since i'm using my assult crusier I have this layout.

four phasers mrk 11, four quantums mrk 10,11 and 12 lol , run full borg set with the 35% max cap always but sometimes switch it with the reman mrk 11 tried the aegis shield and didn't like it but will try it again. 1 neutronium armor mk 12, 35% max cap, rcs mr 12 is a must, eps mk 12. Also sometimes have the Plasma Distribution Manifold.

I have tried four neutronium armors from marks 10,11 and 12 that was fun with pve but have tried pvp yet.

Want to try this eng layout - 1 neutronium, 1 ablative, 1 Monotanium Alloy, not sure what the fourth slot will have maybe another neutronium.

Just a random question here what is best to use for regenrating shields, field emitter or the other one can't remember what it is called?

As far as layering different armors in PvP, I'd argue two Neutorniums are still better than a combination of three different armors. The reasoning is that the Neutronium is a catch all (all be it a lower rate) than the others. PvP players use different types of energy types and you cant cover for all of them effectively. That extra slot freed up can do something to help you ship out that will be used all the time , as opposed to an armor that might not be used at all if the enemy isnt using that energy type.

I recommend increased shield capacity. Looked for the console in the crafting area that is +35% shield capacty.

Ok. I think you can only get the max 35% shield cap from the exchange not sure if you can getit from crafting. Might add the plamsa disburation to increase weapon power levels which when transfering all power to weapons boom 125+.

You asked what about what I thought of an armor setup for PvP, so I gave it. As far as the console, I crafted it for myself and a bunch of fleeties, its there, you can craft it. Dont forget that you can always use a weapons battery to boost power to 125+ when you need it.
