I haven't tried the places where it was a real problem this month. I'm gonna go check this out now.

Edit: Your right it is better. I guess this is a good example of why the patch notes should elaborate on "Performance Improvements" I could have been playing the Fleet Actions ever since the fix went in had I known.

Thank you for the info FallingSky

I realize that the topic is bouncing a little between the UI and the LCARS on the bridges I thought I 'd through these up here. I've been working on a little show of what the bridges might look like just changing the textures from blue to gold (here's a hint: better)

Something to chew on.

I feel like anything 100% monochromatic just isn't LCARS.

Wish I knew how to reconvert and insert texture files to test some other stuff...

It certainly looks like an LCARS system though, right?

This isn't the first time that we've been teased with a non-blue bridge background. Check out the F2P video at 1:04 (where admiral Quinn appears on a galaxy bridge fighting a bunch of Cardies). It's a blink and you'll miss moment but the displays behind him are gold.

SO why is it that Cryptic advertises the game using the canon Library Computer Access and Retrieval System (LCARS) in pictures but doesn't actually use canon LCARS in game?

The site could be more star trekky I think. Just look at the United Federation of Planets Fleet website, it looks amazing (As well as being well organised!) - www.ufplanets.com

Can't see why the STO site and in-game functions can't be like Star Trek.

Well it took me prety much 5 minutes... including restarting the game... by using an known fan mod... and guess what... that game (at least in any kind of Federation relatet interiors) looked 100 times better then now by that simple change.
