Or cannon, or torpedo - so far, so easy.

"..as well as abilities that modify these weapons."

Now, which abilities how?
I dont get a fifth torpedo for High Yield on skill level 9, and its cooldown is determined by the skill of the BOFF.
Is it even more extra damage when using special weapon abilities?

The higher the weapon +bonus number, the higher the resulting weapon damage. T2 weapon skills cap out at +30, while T3 and above go to +52.

So, I receive an additional damage bonus from each of the weapon skill (energy weapons + beam weapons + phasers for example), so far I understood already.

Whats scratching my head is the "as well as abilities that modify these weapons" part - which abilities how?
