I've tried it for my Klilngon engineer...It works wonderfly and is a great mirror to the Federation Star Cruiser. The fighters don't add too too much unless you want that last bit of DPS. They stack with scorpion fighters, though so you can fly a cruiser-carrier hybrid at that point.
The Marauder is a fantastic tanking ship with a ton of healing.
What my KDF engineer is currently using..I love it even though it sorta looks like a flying potatoe...LOL
My Tac LG uses mainly beam arrays, torpedos and mines. Typical hull and shield heals for a cruiser. Along with eject warp plasma, boarding party, beam target sheilds, tactical team.
Has been fun, ejecting warp plasma, mines, boarding party, scorpion fighters, interceptors onto borg cubes etc and watching them die. Even better when you have shut them down completey, making all subsystems go offline.
One of the things people tend to forget about the orion interceptors, they have a free boarding party ability. Might not give raw dps, but you get pets that can disable subsystems.
Have not tried this build in stf. it would be interesting to find out how it works out. What weapon loadout and boff abilities, work best for the marauder in pve? Does anyone fly this ship in pvp?
