Thanks SO MUCH for all your support, and we'll see you in-game!
Yeah, this mission really bites. The first time I tired I could not solo it so teamed up with 4 others and got through.
Second time I did it helping a fleetmate. I was lt 10 and my fleetmate was lt 5. Got through it pretty easy this time with only the two of us, but I suspect it was becuase I was 5 levels above
The devs better fix this mission before going F2P.
This mission is too early for a new player to see in it's current state. The bug that stops from uploading happens randomly. Then you get into a fight with Godzilla who can summon a lot of baby Godzillas and your partners are Hello Kitty soft. A new player will see this mission and leave before they ever get a chance to spend a penny in the C-Store.
This mission is an embarrassment in the current state for a game out almost 2 years. If the bug doesn't give the impression of bad dev work, the final fight will. Those Hello Kitties --- I mean Klingons abused the saying "It's a good day to die" because they died inside of 1 minute.
In order to get past the upload interruption, I dropped the mission completely and picked it up again. Of course, this means starting all over, but it's not that long into it, so wasn't too big a deal.
As for the final battle: DO NOT go after everything the big bad guy throws at you. They were doing like 1 point of damage per shot. Your shields should be able to handle those guys. Stay on the big guy with the Klingons, and when you have killed the dreadnought, THEN mop up the rest. If you take out the smaller ships, more will just come in. Concentrate ALL fire power on him. Spam with all ya got.
Anyway, might not work for everyone, but that is how I did it.

I wasn't able to do that at Lt. 6, though not from a lack of trying. Going to level in the exploration cluster a little bit, maybe do some patrol missions and get stronger first. It's just frustrating that when they introduce this mission to you, it's too much to handle.
One thing I wanted to mention again is that if you die in the fight against the undine, rather than respawning at the place you warped in for that segment, you warp in where you initially warped in way back at the start of the mission.
This has been a problem for at least four months now- it's not something new, so there's no excuse for you not fixing it.
Otherwise, I haven't had the computer interruption problem that some people were having- but the dreadnought/carrier is unkillable.
It's warp in rate for Dahut frigates is way, way too high- you basically can't kill any of them because the moment you do another one warps in. So it ends up with five, and they focus fire, and the klingons die incredibly fast.
This was also always a problem, but the klingons didn't used to die this fast, so I dunno what you changed.
Would it be possible to add some sort of cooldown to the 'summon a giant crapload of frigates' power on the Tethys? That would incentivize people (and maybe the klingons, whom already ignore them) to kill the Dahut frigates to clear spam and then focus fire on the Tethys.
As it is, you basically have to let it get its five kill you in a few seconds frigates out and then do your best to slug it out with the Tethys while these things are focusing on you and the klingons are doing jack all.
And you can't even get other missions after it? Are you fraking me?!
And Devs, don't delete this area when it goes F2P. Let the new people see that it was reported and you ignored it. All the time, devs delete these then the players get blamed for not reporting it while it's in beta. Have a set and stand behind your decision if this is "working as intended".
This mission makes me be sure I am beyond it on every toon on Holodeck before this goes live to avoid this clustercrap of a mission.
I can confirm the two things reported in this thread:
1) Mission breaks at the "Upload Data" part. After killing the Klingon group that interrupts your upload, the mission cannot be completed. You must beam up and wait a couple minutes for the map to reset. After this the "upload" part completes successfully.
2) The Undine Dreadnaught is almost impossible to solo now on Normal Difficulty. It keeps spawning Frigates faster than you can kill them. The boss also wipes out the Klingon ships much easier than it used to, leaving a solo player helpless.
With luck, I was able to solo the Dreadnaught down to 1% health before it finished off the last of the Klingon ships. It then destroyed me quickly after that. Grrr...
Wow...just wow. No offense to you all, but to assume that something is broken because none of you can do it and then submit bug reports is quite frankly, a waste of the bug folks time.
Firstly, #1. Agreed - this is a bug and a bug report it should receive. Also this section is known to bug out completely, forcing and 100% mission restart.
#2... "It keeps spawning frigates faster than you can kill them"...well therein is your failure. I've done this mission since the game's beta and it amazes me how people continuously and habitually fail to grasp the core concepts of this mission, and specifically, this section.
The "kill the dreadnaught" section is ENTIRELY a race against time. "How long is that?" you might ask...well that depends on your ship and your class. The basic formula however is "The longer the fight takes, the more Klingon ships you lose, hence the quicker YOU lose". Now, if you DON'T start this section with all the Klingon ships there (I believe 2 negvars, 2-3 raptors, 2 k'tingas, 1-2 vorcha, and 2-4 BOPs is normal) It has most likely bugged on you, and needs to be restarted.
So what I hear from lots of people is "Well I just can't kill the Undine frigs quick enough", and yes this is true, YOU CAN'T!! So why keep trying this part with that same old failed strategy? Will the frigs kill off the Klingons? Yes, eventually, but there are several things you can do to slow this process down...
1. Attack them (don't destroy) to draw agro off the klingon ships - even running minimal covariant mk 2 shields as a tac officer I can tank 3-5 of them for several minutes (with no agro from the Dread of course).
2. Send heals onto the klingons - the various "teams", hazard emitters (I prefer Science team 1) can be spammed on the klingon ships.
3. Coordinate your attacks with the klingons! (IMPORTANT) - hit the same shield facings they do, fire torpedoes into dropped shields, etc. Most of my plays involved me flying right next to the klingons for almost the entire fight.
Now there are some variables...Often once the Dreadnaught reaches ~50% hull you will be receiving a lot of fire from it - several times I needed to put all power to engines, move outside 10km, hide behind an asteroid and heal about 20-30% health. Also I have done this with 2-4 other players and have actually found that it's a little more difficult the more people you bring with you...the old "yoda, luke, and the dark-side tree" routine.
Do these things as a level 6-8 character in any class and you will keep most if not all of your klingons alive till the end. In addition, prioritize any heals on the 2 Negvars - all of my successful runs in the last part of this mission ended with both of these ships alive.
Remember...the Klingons are the key to victory against the Dreadnaught!

Sorry didn't see your post before my guide post, but thank you for this. I don't get why people keep trying to kill the frigates, they shoot tickling little laser pointers...
I have the same problem, i hope this is a bug and not a change they wanted to make cuz if it is i feel sorry for the noobs that will try to play this game aka its the 3rd mission (or 4th cant remember) and if a norm player cant finish it, the noobs will deff get turned off by it and might not come back, so please fix it
