A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
Since we are expending a huge amount of time starting from scratch; testing all the way through the story line to level 51 (if we can make it), and the Doff system at the same time, is there any way of allowing us to eventually transfer our fresh Tribble toon to Holodeck?
I didn't really care about this when we could transfer full formed Holo toons to Tribble, but since this is a whole new character.. I'm growing fond of it and would like to keep it.
Might be nice for some people. I won't be doing it. I made a garbage character, just picked random traits. I assumed it would be wiped eventually so I didn't care about it. And damn, she's ugly.
I'd love this. I've been meaning to level a tac toon to VA, so I'm doing it on tribble to test all the various stuff. Being able to transfer that toon to Holodeck when F2P goes live would be awesome.
Of course, I'll have to buy a character slot for them if Crytpic lets us do it, but w/e.
*hear that Cryptic? I'm going to pay you money if you make this happen.
Things will change as we test, various parts of our character will get corrupted as these changes occur, also we're being levelled artificially by the insanely huge amounts of xp for mission content.
If you're getting attached then recreate that character on holodeck yourself, that one will stay safe.
Have to admit I've grown attached to my Tribble character. First toon in ages that required be to put some real effort and thought into.
On Holodeck I had my C-store equipment, alt toons who could buy/craft gear, a huge exchange, featured episodes I could use for grinding level equipment (like the Breen set) and free ships upon ranking up. Basically I had a lot of resources to call upon.
On Tribble, I had to chose my ship and career carefully. I picked a tactical captain who'd fly a T2 cruiser at the opportunity. The T2 cruiser for the tanking at higher ranks and a tactical career to make up for the lack of firepower. Might have picked an escort, but was pretty sure dual heavy cannons wouldn't be widely available.
Only really began to become a struggle against high-captain rank Warbirds, who Viral Matrix me then launch 3 plasmas (pretty much insta kill if I wasn't prepared). Thankfully I was able to afford an Assault Cruiser upon ranking up.
To be honest, I found all the hard work and planning fun.
So yeah, it'd be nice if I could transfer him over, but I doubt it's possible and I wouldn't cry about it if I can't.
What would be nice is some free points (or whatever exchange) needed to buy Doffs. The only stipulation would be to have had a Lt Cdr or higher toon that has used Doff on Tribble. The reward can be based on how much time played in Doff. The only problem is that you have to grind out a character to Lt Cdr. The character transfer would have made testing out Doff a lot easier and less time consuming. I don't live for STO, so don't make me redo missions I've done on Holodeck.
Yeah, they'll probably just be wiped, so I created all generic characters. (Trill, Andorian, etc.) I usually spend a lot of time in the character creator and I usually make my own aliens but I just went with the basics for this one, since it really doesn't matter.
