Ditto. PvP will be ruined because of this (I guess that's one way to shut up the people complaining about the lack of pvp content - make it so unbearable that people quit). On top of that, I agree with Heezdedjim too, we've been hearing promises for big and balanced things that don't change things for existing players for weeks and when it comes time for implementation and patching, what we see looks like something that was thrown together last minute and only geared for silver players who want to "win" the game only by buying on the c-store and not actually playing the game.

Yeah, this.. is bad.

And if they cannot see this amid the pages and pages of people telling them that this is bad, then I really do not know what else to type.

Let's hope feedback is heard and acted on instead of just acknowledged and ignored.

By the way, has anyone confirmed that if you pay for a Tier 5 Excelsior, you get the Tier 3 model as well? Or are these two separate and distinct purchases, meaning that the Excelsior on Live is scheduled for a 2x to 2.5x price increase?

This would be acceptable, if they aren't going to give us back the free ship tokens...

At the other side, let them do exactly that. Drive the Car against the next Wall so that the Game will end. Because only if it ends there is a chance that a better Company than Crap...ähm...Cryptic will make a proper Star Trek MMO.

All they did was lieing and calling it transparent Communikation. About coming Content, about not loosing anything for Gold members, about not planning raising the C-Store Prices, about the whole Game as they first presented it on a Star Trek Convention back in 2008. There Jack Emmert told that there are so many Features in STO. But most of them are not in Game. Not even after almost two years after Launch. Features like Player Starbases and Player Shipyards and so on.

They just keep telling lies only to keep the Player paying.

I really love Star Trek since i was a Child, but i hate what Cryptic made out of the IP. Specially if i imagine what it had could be.

At present it's like we've been given a cricket ball and asked if cricket is any good, without all the other necessary equipment or means to make them. In short, I'd like something complete to test, if it doesn't work then I can test it an provide feedback on why and how it doesn't work.
To be honest, you've pretty much described Cryptic's entire development philosophy with Star Trek Online. They've pretty much been rushing without stopping to polish and look at balance or gameplay since the game launched.

Yes, they've stopped to re-balance skills and make gameplay changes, but their "We need to rush this out! We don't have time for real QA and playtesting!" philosophy that made the game such a rotten egg at launch permeates everything they've done.

The game has come a long way since it launched, but it's unfortunate to see that the same philosophy persists. It's hard to believe this is the same studio that produced CoH/CoV.

When all you've got is a cricket ball, there's only one good thing to do with it.

Throw it through someones' window :p

While I'm here, where are the devs?!

Approaching four and a half hours since they posted these patch notes, with not one response of clarification or explanation.
