I've noticed that on many occations when the enemy, morstly the romulans are sending a heavy plasma torpedo my way, it decides to target the ship it was launched from indtead. I've looked over my active dufy officers but none have such an ability to revers them.

Remember all torpedoes now have an aoe detonation. Its possible in this case the Mogai was right on top of you and the torpedo did infact impact on you it just got caught in the blast on an exposed facing.

However that doesnt draw away from the fact that in the current tribble build a lot of torps missfire. A lot of mines too. Its annoying. These bugs were fixed on Holodeck but Tribble is build on an older version.

This bug is funny, and reminded me somewhat of STO's 'exhaust seeking torpedo' which .. is coming sometime.

I've seen what you've seen, with enemies shooting at each.
I've seen the torpedo follow me, and then appear to change targets.
I've seen what appears to be the torpedo playing bumper cars with me, and that's hillarious =)

I concur. It's not an AoE issue; I have seen incoming heavy plasmas heading my way, then apparently change their mind and go for the nearest Romulan instead.

So far, I''ve only seen this on Birds-of-Prey, not Mogai or D'Deridexes. I don't know if it's dependant on ship type or whether it's becuse BoPs are more common encounters though.

I've seen it occur from every type of romulan ship. It does bring a certan satisfaction to see a romulan ship finish off itself
