Of course Warhammer is dystopic fiction, it was intended to be all along, and Star Trek has always had conflicts outside of Starfleet, it's part of the milieu and belongs there, but it should have remained outside of Starfleet. Internally, the Federation is a utopia exept in STO.

There are better ways this could have been handled, many have been pointed out in these forums but dissimulation by the company has masked some of those ideas. There is a difference between keeping secrets and lying to the customer and I keep hoping that Cryptic will, some day, figure out what that difference actually is.
