Is it me, or is the KDF version bugged? I recently switched back to my Tac character, used the power in some ground missions... and they faded away, mid combat, sometimes only a few seconds in. I see that ground combat is now faster, so I thought they were just getting killed, but some of them faded when they were in the red, and still had shield/hit points.

Do they last only X seconds now, regardless of shield and hit points left, or are they bugged?

I feel the same with the FED version... it does not last long enough to be real useful... and they beam out mid combat? WTH?

Would be more sensible for the escort to remain until they get killed or the end of the mission. Same with Fleet Support and the like.
