Maybe limit the number of doff by the total number of the crew on all your ships. Then it would be unnecessary if your currently commanding your tiny BoP or your colossal Carrier.

However thinking about 4000+ potential doffs is kinda crazy. Guess a hard limit, and not specifically asking where they are on your ship exactly, is better than counting crew members.

You probably would want to put a hard upper limit on it, maybe around 200 DOFFs, just for the sake of sanity.

And yeah, you'd just have a "storage area" for DOFFs, so if you switch from a Carrier to a BoP (or a Cruiser to an Escort on the Fed Side) you only keep as many active DOFFs with you you can support on your ship, and you can go talk to someone in ESD/First City to swap them out with the others that got put into "Storage".

As to being guaranteed to be able to do every kind of quest: why?

If your roster is full and you don't have the officers to do a certain mission you want to do, you should go trade with other players to get the officers you need for that mission. If you then find a different mission that you can't do, you should go and trade again for the officers for that. Or just don't do those missions.

You can't get every skill in the game to 9, if you can just automatically do every assignment given to you where's the challenge in finding and picking the missions that will be most beneficial to you?

Some people dont give a flying fig about challenge, just about having fun? You know the concept I trust? This is a mini game, theres nothing wrong with wanting to max all doff skills.

I don't think there's anything wrong with maxing all doff skills, however, I think you shouldn't just be handed them. That's not fun. What's been suggested is that they give us a big enough roster that we can automatically do any mission presented to us.

Can you honestly tell me that you would find the DOFF system better if it was just log in every day or so, click the "win" button, and then wait to the next day? Cause that's essentially what they're asking for. It would take away and strategy of evaluating available missions and what mission would give the best rewards for the time it takes, and if you take mission X then you don't have officers available for mission Y, so which one's more important? And what officers should you assign to the "any officer" slots on missions that present those?

Alot of people would. My proof of this? Facebook. Essentially, this game is designed like facebook games and people enjoy how casual it is to log into facebook one a day and hit "I win". Not everything has to be a uphill battle, mini games are side diversions not a main course.

What are "they"? It's not me, that's for sure. I don't want an I WIN button I want the room to have the officers needed to do any mission I like to. If they get Critical Success, Success, Failure or Disaster, that has nothing to do with what I'm asking for.

What you suggest about trading DOffs for each mission that is just annoying. Missions don't stay accessible at all times. If I find a mission I want to do in Zeta Andromeda Sector Block should I have to go aroud the galaxy trading DOffs with my friends for half an hour to then return and find that the mission is no longer active?

What I'm asking for is a raise of the max number of DOff we can have so that I can have 5 DOffs of each kind (or how many the maximum is that is required of the same kind in the DOff missions.

This is not an I WIN button

Talking about Facebook games...

I want and Android App with which I can do this mini-game with. Send my DOffs on missions and such from my phone.

Here is an other suggestion for the DOff roster.

Please sort it by their department, specialization and then their name third.

And make it possible to search the exchange for their specialization, not their name.
And please make it clear either int he text or on the icon in the exchange if a DOff is medical or science / tactical or security / engineering or operations. It's not 100% as it is now. Some do say which department they belong to others don't.

I love the new Department Head and First Officer system that is sneaking in to the DOff system with the recommendation for who goes on the missions.

I feel that the suicide missions on the KDF side would need a better explanation that it is the DOff you send on it that dies. Reads more like that DOff will help someone to commit suicide.

What I really like is an overflow bag for DOffs. So I can complete recruitment missions and see if I get any good ones without having to delete any of the ones I already have. And if the left part of the Request Dufty Officer tab was our Roster and we could compare the new ones in the overflow bag in the right column and move DOffs between the two that would make it much easier to administrate. Then we could get the option to empty the bag or go to the exchange and put them up for sale.

I would also like them to be possible to put in fleet bank slots. And for them to show some more information such as rank, species, gender when we hover with the cursor over them in addition to the specialization bonuses.

There should be some search criteria in the exchange for faction so I can search only for KDF DOffs/BOffs if I want to and don't want to drown in FED search results.

I haven't checked but is there a way to see how many missions your duty officer has completed and how many were critical success, success, and failures.. It would make it easier to then remove the underperformers.

Also when are the duty officers going to appear in our ships when we visit the bridge interior?
