My thoughts regarding the reward dilithium for being promoted in regard to purchasing a new ship:
Seriously, not only is it about 20k short at Commander or whatever, it is also difficult to find dilithium anywhere. As my fleetmate stated, "If I do the Traelus Satellite Repair for my dilithium to buy a 21k turret, I should have enough in about 4 years." Granted, exploration missions could give a reward of dilithium, plus PvP and special missions (the mirror universe one, for example), but needing 80k to get an RA ship after buying a Defiant at Captain is obnoxious. I understand you have some ironing out of the economy to do. I hope this post can help adjust the dilithium numbers. If you do keep the deficit that high, then at least give dilithium as a small reward for missions or something. 20-80k is a lot.
EDIT: Apparently there are going to be a multitude of ways to get dilithium. and apparenly I can't delete a thread....
No need to delete it cause when you hit VA at the current game u dont eaven get a VA ship token nor can u buy a VA ship for dilithuim so its c store only wich is wery wery wery PAY TO WIN unless its an oversight.
I think they want to push people to buy from the C-Store. that way, when you get your free dilithium, you spend on gear.
I say bring back the ship tokens. You shouldn't need to use the C-Store (which is what this broken system appears to do), and the level progression in this game is waaaaaaaaay too fast to grind for the rest of the dilithium.
Agreed, I was in full swing and super excited when I finally hit commander 1... I seriously dropped the exploration mission I was doing and transwarped home to level up.
I talked to admiral Quinn, and RAN to the shipyard...
If there were a stronger word for EXTREME DISAPPOINTMENT, I would use it.
I shut down the game, and came to drown my sorrows in here. LOL Gawd that suxxors so HARD!! Who wants to spend half of your commander level (Or ANY level for that matter) grinding out Dilithium for a ship you SHOULD have gotten in the beginning of your level!?!
When you level in any RPG, you don't go back to town and have the lvl trainer guy tell you "Nope, sorry... your going to have to WAIT on the extra HP and spells. We want you to go out and collect 20000 super rediculously rare gems FIRST...".
Is my frustration valid? Am I wrong to be miffed and COMPLETELY turned off by this?
