Ok so the Devs listened and the ship token issue has been resolved:

The only other big hangup is the refinement cap or the price tag on XI gear. Either raise the refinement cap for gold members or give them a discount on buying gear and this whole new economy thing might just work out after all :p

Why should only Gold members get a fixed economy?

Removing the refinement cap for subscribers is the only solution that anyone can consider a victory.

If now having to pay for two high level ships, and instead receiving two low level ships is a victory then this was is already lost.
