I used the foundry to create an improved DS9 and Qo'noS:

Its funny how I can use the tools Cryptic created, to make more accurate and visually appealing visuals than Cryptic themselves. Please, artists at Cryptic...look into changing these.

Well, that's only because you have the power of your serious looking avatar to back you up... I mean, with a look like that, how could you *not* create those images?

And DS9 does look really good in that pic. It'd be nice if they did change it to something similar (although you may have to loan a Dev your avatar so it comes out equally as good).

Anyways, I worked sooo sooo hard to bring you those images. I mean I really sat there and ran through every single space background, lighting changes...sat there and angled the picture perfectly. :p

This should be the definitive take. Softer light. Moodier shadow. Purple denarios belt on one side, wormhole on the other.

The spawn point could be at a side angle where we see both but maneuvering around, it should be possible to look from the direction of the belt and only see the wormhole and space or look from the other direction and see only the belt.

Some Bajoran freighters would be nice, also an occasional (can't spell) galaxy, or other larger crusier docked at one of the upper pylons.

I to would like to see the space around DS9 change, not just because it should look like it did in the show but because the brown nebula that engulfs the station is ugly, the funny thing is thou that apart from the actual map every other picture of DS9 in game shows a normal black star-field around it (like the loading screen and the episode picture that takes place on DS9).

And while I'm not fussed at the moment about Quarks being in the same instance as the rest of the Promenade or the Infirmary and the Security Office the only real things that need sorting out is the doors, they are still the huge barnyard doors, and if Quarks is going to be instanced off at least put the shutter back instead of it being opened up and thereís just a black wall.

Also hereís just a bit of an idea, if the station is getting renovated why not make it more visible that is what is happening, for example the door to the Infirmary and the Security Office could be sealed off with signs "Under Construction" in front of them and there are movable bio-beds temporary set up somewhere and maybe some DS9 set pieces (like the spiral stares) or props staked up in the corner of a room.

There are properly a lot more I can say but I'll leave it at that, besides Cryptic have got bigger fish to fry what with F2P, the Doff System and the Skill revamp, so one social zone revamp would be low on their to-do list (but once thatís all out the way who knows).

Hmm that does sound sweet maybe even get iconic music for all the major locals, a klingon theme for the shipyard there, ESD with the tradition star trek them, TOS for at K7.

But I would think we would want an option to turn it off as couldg et annoying after it lost it's effect.
