Adding a Dilithium cost to crafting is poopy.
AND you took away another mission that gave Dilithium.
If you're going to have Dilithium cost to almost everything, like the trend seems to indicate at this time, then we need more ways to earn Dilithium.
Grinders are still gonna get large amounts of Dilithium no matter what, casual players will probably not...and probably not be very happy about it. I know you're hoping they'll go to the Cstore instead, but, that's a lot of hope.

Oddly enough I have no real problem with even MK goods costing dilithium, well, on two conditions...

1. The percentage cost in dilithium is no more than 5% of the shop cost at the right tier OR you can use dilithium ore for crafting.

2. That you start giving more repeatable ways to earn dilithium outside of the damn dailies. I don't know how many times I have to keep saying this, so lets try with a bigger font, capslock and red colouring.

YOU ALREADY HAVE A HARD CAP ON THE AMOUNT OF DILITHIUM PRODUCED PER DAY DUE TO THE REFINEMENT CAP. WHY DO YOU NEED TO CREATE A SECOND HARD CAP BY BLOCKING THE MAJORITY OF WAYS TO EARN DILITHIUM BEHIND DAILIES AND/OR EVENTS?

Come on guys, lets take the limiters off here. Things like exploration, PvP and Fleet Actions should be giving dilithium outside of dailies. Every time you complete a pvp match, complete an exploration wrapper mission or beat a Fleet Action you should earn some ore, just like these things used to give merits/honour/marks/emblems/badges. If you still want dailies to be involved, then sure, dailies should give a significantly higher amount (once again, like marks/badges/emblems/etc), but there should still be ways to earn as much dilithium ore as you like.

Please, let people earn however much dilithium through the gameplay style they like instead of forcing them to do game modes they don't enjoy and/or logging out once the dailies dry up.

Umm yes there was. Now these ships keep their abilities and gain an additional console slot. Other ships gain a console slot but have to sacrifice it to keep their abilities.

Does this seem fair to you?

So from what i gether here...

As a crafter who doesn't run STF's i'll not be able to create the gear i need to remain competitive in PVP..

Also, the defiants are getting another buff to there consoles while my intrepid gets shafted..

If i choose not to do the daily mission grind, there's really no point in doing any other missions since the rewards can't be used to by quality stuff. This now even includes the data sample collecting i used to do while chatting and helping other players.

Couple that with the deminished conversion rate between my existing currency and your new Dilitium currency and i'm just about out of luck all around.

At least tell me that i'll be able to buy all of my MKXII gear outright from the c-store.. i bet that's not a problem, right?

Anyhow, i'm going to go mourn for STO for awhile...

I don't think I can constructively list all the things in this update that are just plain bad. Though you going ahead and completely ruining crafting has to be at the top of my list of reasons to take you off of my Christmas card list. Crapping up all the ships my VA toons use would run a close second.

I just feel bad for all the people who don't have lifetime subs, since if they actually stick around (which remains to be seen) they'll have to pay you to continue screwing up their game.

my defiant R has a cloak console...bound, that will only work on it or on the Gal x. Think those were supposed to be "now" and not "not" in the notes salami.

Also, the BOFF recommendations on the DOFF assignments are awesome. Nice job with that guys!
