I believe in the 50 million dollars PW paid to acquire STO. If any of you have 50 mil to blow and let someone sit on their butt and do nothing with a game like this let me know because if so I can be your new executive producer.

And yet you did post. And were kind enough to blame someone else as to why you must post. Please. If that's the best you can do, perhaps you should step back and re-think how to present your position if you're going to try to debate it. Statements like that only torpedo your position.

Which inaccuracies did you point out? You stated your view points on a few things. Unless this is just a "I know you are but what am I?" type of argument? The inaccuracies I pointed out was with your inaccurate translation of a statement taken out of context from the Free To Play Q&A section.

I didn't think it was becoming a flame fest. And there's nothing wrong with feeling strong about something you have an opinion on. However, I was taking aim at the use of a statement, taken out of context, made by a former employee, and an important descriptor being ignored, as the basis of why there is an issue of 'trust' why its cause for "Doom and Gloom".

I also took aim at the original post because you made the claim that "almost everyone" is against changes, implying your statements are supported by a super majority of the player base. Oddly, I don't recall seeing an in-game poll asking.

That's OK by me.... Have fun in game!!!
Your fine to have that opinion. However, I would expect to get some opinions of the other side, as change in online games is a way of life. Play models get changed, new features get added, existing features get changed, things get nerfed, things get boosted, etc, etc, etc.... It's a fact of online gaming.

About the only thing I can tell that has you upset is that the Tier 5 ships are being classified as 'premium' ships and will require a C-Store purchase to acquire after Free To Play goes live. That is, if the player hasn't already purchased them for their account.

As much as you may dislike a Free To Play model, and the transformation to a micro-pay system, you have to realize it's coming. It's the basis for all of Perfect World's games so far, and they're the ones calling the shots. Free To Play doesn't put a premium on monthly subscribers, or a one-time single paying 'lifetime' subscriber. They're more geared at the individual sale of item(s) from whatever 'store' they put up. It's a much different model than what a lot would consider 'traditional' online games, where subscriber numbers were king.
