well personally i find the new version better.
i played all of the STF's once and when the final one took me 5 HOURS (i was surprised nobody on the PUG dropped out halfway through)... well lets just say i didn't bother with STF's since that.
I'd rather play 30 short *runs* then one 5 hour Kithomer Accord that bugs out 3 times on the way... (yes that happened)
with the new STF gear you gonna need to play those STF's again anyway,
i think it makes more sense to get the Borg Set when i am working at the new Sets anyway.
(the good thing is that with 7 Toons none of the borg salvage drops will be wasted ...for a while at least).
Everybody who does not hate the STF's probably has the gear already.
But well if you want, go ahead... i'm not stopping you ^^
@Maina -> VA1 Tokens
"Still haven't figured out this are .5 classes and a c-store purchase unlocks for whole account? Also just as buy-able with dilith, just no "Free" single character version."
nope, they are not gonna be available for dilithium -> (account wide) C-Store unlock only
"Wrong, post was around here that showed that it's the opposite, except for weapons. You did convert a player onto the test server right?"
not sure what you mean exactly.
1 Emblem is worth 480 dilithium if you go by the 1 Emblem dailies on Tribble
in the conversion you get something like 330 DL for your single Emblem
so if you wait for the conversion of your Chars your Emblems will get reduced (they said it on the last live STOked on saturday... and it's also my conclusion of some of the examples we had in the thread).
The pricetags in the shop are fair now i think, but the conversion is shenanigans.
-Crafting
"Wow grinding for anomalies is easy with the Doff system, and now a new resource (call it currency, or even a lame "tax") but it's still just a resource that replaces something that now easier to get."
i agree that getting anomalies is now easier with the DOff System (getting rare particles still slows you down a lot, i have not managed to get personal shields for my DOffs by Crafting because i am always missing that one rare particle...),
but dilithium is time gated by 8000 DL per day, so if you run out of it and actually have to grind for it it may take you 2 days only grinding for DL to get the item you could get instantly before.
I mean... yeah whatever, i don't really care anymore...
I will just say that Crafting always felt more like a Vendor, and now with DL it IS a Vendor.
Tribble Breeding is more crafting than crafting...
it is supposed to be a fun minigame, with some chance of unlocking recipes or whatever... this?... nope... not it... try again!
"Not a lot even by a long run. Why is a expert like you speccing out a t3 ship anyways, I thought you knew better...."
no idea what you are talking about now... where did i say anything about speccing out a T3 ship?
i clearly wrote to get all the T5 Ships.... because soon you can switch around better, but you also will have to pay 120000 dilitihum per Ship, so get them now for EC to save yourself a lot of grind...
...of course thats optional and up to you, only IF you care to jump ships (...i don't, that is what my ALTs are for...)
C-Store
"We don't know it won't change, and I fail to see anything you mentioned."
you fail to see?
...you do not see that Excelsior, Galaxy-R, Intrepid-R, Defiant-R are 1200 C-Points @ Holodeck and 1600 C-Points @ Tribble?
...you do not see that any of the old Ship Skins have changed from 160 CP to 320 CP?
did you compare the prices ...at all?
i also wrote that it is "subject to change".... if you think the C-Store prices will change... fine, just don't come complaining later if they don't.
@Merits...
ok it seems now that you still get
a few dilithium points out of it...
i'd still say it's better to use them now
if you don't want to... then don't! what do i care?
but yeah i should update that point in the OP.
