Apparently. EPTS now depends on the skill that increases power flow rates, same as EPS consoles.

This is...odd.

Yes, it's the new skill tree. Haven't tested any numbers yet, I was jus wondering why my EPTS was so weak even with high 'shield performance'.

I thought the skill in question just effected the rate at which power is routed to said system under Emergency Power To X and the base rating of the EPTX skills where not effected.

You're misunderstanding. There is now a skill that buffs EPS Transfer Rate. This skill also buffs the Emergency Power skills. This doesn't make the EPS Flow items buff EPS.

What they also did was basically nerf all Engineering consoles, including the EPS FLow regulators. It now takes once again forever to change energy levels. Maybe they did it so that the new Starship Batteries skill will find more use (and with them, the batteries and form a new Energy Credit Sink?).

Does the Engineer's EPS Power Transfer skill still help shuffle power around?

I'm assuming it will affect dps numbers for energy weapons recharge time as well? If so, it seems like it will almost be a must have skill box for at least cruisers and escorts, if not science also.

Don't know, I do not have an Engineer on Tribble right now (and can't copy over the third char I supposedly can transfer...)
