you use BO:3 and a single beam on your defiant Captain? or All dual beams?

what do you think of TT for escorts since science ships has target subsystems. i think it more suits escorts than not, since piloting and staying alive is hard

Since overload 3 has such a horrible miss rate I run overload 2. It will regularly crit for over 30k, my best has been 42k or so. And always on dual beam banks. Hopefully on a slowed/stunned target with their tactical team on cooldown.

IMO you should run two tac teams on every escort, but that's does not counter target subsys, I think that's engie team and eptx.

And yes your sciscort idea is great fun. But as foxrocks mentioned target subsys is a little weak at the moment. I was running dual target shields3 on mine, but backed out because turns out even fully buffed I was only getting -90 drain, much less than I thought. Sciscorts are great at defuff spikes. And you have the ability to turn into a flying rock with scifleet and scattering field. Then... Auxbattery nuke scan kablooey.

Have fun kill bad guys.

flying rock, sci fleet scattering field? Please elaborate i never touched or read about sci

So target subsystem only drains its power? i thought it knocked the system offline temporarily and hence the shields dropped?

sci fleet reduces damage to shields, scattering field improves hull defense. stack them and fly fast to become almost unkillable for a bit.

and yes, target subsys has a chance to knock out. but whats most beneficial is the power drain. and if you drain shields below 0 power level, they go out...and into the negative. target engines is awesome too, and since everyone in battle pretty much has a lower engine setting than shield setting.......do you understand how weak you can make your target if they are dead in the water and you hit em with the auxbattery subnuke and sensor scan combo. yeah pretty much toast. it was much more powerful before the last couple of patches. i used to stack a nice deflector and some consoles....it got pretty nice there for a while.

gg all.

Subsystem targetting always drops the power levels, unless your shot misses, and includes 2 ways to shut off subsystems.

1. Power level is dropped to Zero - system shuts down
2. It procs and disables the subsystem

The power drain scales with each level of the power, so BTS?3 has a much greater chance of disabling than 1, but either is capable.

intrepid is unmatched.

mvae is unmatched.

defiant...well lets just all say, is just downright nasty. most firepower, most agility, ability to tank like no other. 3 engie console slots. pay attention people!

now back to topic...it looks like they fixed...one of the bugs that shall not be named.
No you are not the only one. Many know that the feds are not near as gimped as they claim to be by ship design or build capability.

5 months ago or so, when I temporarily dropped BO3 in favor of THY3, a big reason was because it was missing so much. Now, I've switched back to BO3 because of the recent skill set change (dropped torps completely), and it is definitely more accurate now (Hitting about three-quarters of my shots) and appears to be critting more from my observations as well (or my memory is just faulty, which is always plausible). Of course, it helps that I no longer have to worry about whether shields will stay down for my torps to hit.

yeah, it used to be starship dampening...now its scattering....im pretty sure of this... anyway was i was slightly inebriated at the time..anyone is free to correct me on that. im usually in one of my tac toons...

on which my BO3 seems to only hit 2/5 times tops....and with the new miss animation this is even more noticeable. this is with accx3 weapons too. that being said i do need to work on not just throwing my overloads out there, be more patient for that slowed/stunned target. i try to focus on that, but i just want the target to go down so i gets trigger happy a lot.

*ooooooohhhhh...lunchtime beer *

well then, now that ive heard this from another great player i shall revisit at least 1 of my toons with this. my sci/defiant was running two BO3's, along with a tractor beam and the grappler lolconsole.
